Round-the-clock monitoring
Agents watch for alarms at every hour, check each one, reach you first and bring in emergency services when it is real.
Xfinity Home Security
The monthly rate covers 24/7 professional monitoring. Equipment is sold separately, so the real cost is the rate plus the devices you choose.
*Includes a $10/mo auto-pay & paperless-bill discount. Equipment sold separately. Pricing subject to change. Availability and exact pricing vary by address. Taxes and fees extra.
In the monthly rate
Compare these with your current alarm contract line by line; some providers charge extra for cloud video or cellular backup.
Agents watch for alarms at every hour, check each one, reach you first and bring in emergency services when it is real.
Recordings save to the cloud automatically and are kept for up to approximately 7 days, viewable on your phone or computer. Longer storage is available on upgraded plans.
A cellular connection with battery backup keeps monitoring running through a power cut or an internet outage.
Arm and disarm, watch a live camera, lock a door and get alerts in the Xfinity app, from wherever you are.
Eligible plans can start without a long-term contract, which matters if you might move or switch again. We check which no-contract options exist at your address before you commit.
Xfinity TV customers can bring up security status and camera feeds on the television with the Voice Remote, with no extra app required.
Equipment, sold separately
Equipment is paid for on top of the monthly rate, so size it to the house: cover the entry points first and add devices later if you need them.
Indoor, outdoor and doorbell cameras
Video doorbells and HD cameras, indoor and outdoor, record on motion or continuously and keep footage in secure cloud storage. A single doorbell camera may be all a small home needs.
Sensors and smart locks
Door and window sensors send an alert when something opens that should not. Smart locks that work with the system let you add or cancel someone’s access from your phone.
Monitored response
An agent looks at every alert before calling emergency services, which cuts false alarms and the fines some towns charge for them.
Before you switch alarm companies
A door opening, motion or smoke sends an alert to a monitoring center staffed 24/7, where an agent reviews it and tries to reach you. If nobody can confirm you are safe, the agent calls local emergency services. Procedures can vary, so ask us for the current details before you order.
A basic system is usually a hub, a keypad and sensors for doors and windows; cameras, smart locks and motion detectors are extras. Because equipment is sold separately, each addition raises the up-front cost, so we start from your layout and what you want covered. Whether a device suits your home depends on its construction and wiring, and we check that for your address.
Not necessarily. On eligible setups some monitoring plans come without a long-term commitment. Contract length, early-termination terms and plan options vary by package and location, and we go through them before anything is activated. If you are leaving another alarm company, find out what it charges to exit first.
Standard plans generally include about 7 days of cloud video storage, and upgraded plans keep footage longer. Only you can view the recordings through your account, unless you share access. Storage length and access follow the provider’s current service agreement, which we can confirm.
