Switch & Save (switchtosave.net) is operated by Switch & Save Inc, an independent authorized retailer. We are not a cable company, an internet service provider or a mobile carrier, and we are not owned or operated by any of them, including Charter Communications, Inc. This site is about the difference between what households pay and what they could pay, so please read this page before relying on any number here.
1. Savings figures are estimates, not quotes
This is the most important thing on the page. Every figure on this site that describes a possible saving is an estimate, produced by comparing a number you supply against providers’ advertised starting prices as we last reviewed them (August 2026; September 16, 2026 for the Spectrum pages).
An estimate cannot know which plans are actually available at your specific address, which promotions are live on the day you order, what taxes, fees and equipment charges will apply, or whether you qualify for a given offer. It is not a quote, not an offer, and not a guarantee of any outcome. The only binding figure is the one the provider confirms when your order is placed.
2. How the savings estimator works
The estimator takes the monthly amount you enter and compares it with typical advertised starting prices for the internet technologies reported at your ZIP code in the FCC Broadband Data Collection. It does not query providers, does not check your address, and does not know your circumstances. Treat the output as a prompt to have the conversation, nothing more.
3. What we do
We compare what you pay against what equivalent service costs as a new customer, and where a switch makes sense we place the order with the provider you choose. The provider then delivers, installs, activates, bills and supports the service under its own terms. Your service agreement is with the provider, not with us.
4. How we are paid, and the conflict that creates
Providers pay us a commission once an order we placed is activated. We are therefore paid when you switch and not when you stay, which is a conflict of interest and we would rather name it than hide it. Two things limit it: we cannot alter the price you pay, and our published guidance includes the cases where switching is the wrong move. If the gap is not worth it we will tell you.
5. Which providers we can actually order
Our Providers page separates providers we hold agreements with, and can order for you, from providers that merely appear in an availability result for your ZIP. We do not display a logo for a provider we are not authorized to represent, and we will say plainly on the call when a provider you want is one we cannot order.
6. Availability data
Availability results use the FCC Broadband Data Collection (December 2024 filing), the federal record of where providers report offering service. It is provider-reported, lags recent construction, and describes coverage at ZIP level. A provider listed for a ZIP may not reach every address in it, and a provider missing from it may have arrived since.
7. Prices and promotions
We cannot set, change or guarantee any provider’s prices, speeds, fees, contract terms or promotions. Promotional pricing has a defined term and standard rates apply afterwards; where we state a roll-off figure it is the provider’s published standard rate as we last reviewed it. Taxes, fees and equipment are extra unless a page says otherwise.
8. After the switch
Installation, equipment, activation, billing, outages, plan changes and cancellations are handled by the provider. We are not liable for service quality, billing disputes or scheduling. Credits such as contract buyouts and phone payoffs are the provider’s offers, subject to the provider’s conditions and claim windows; we explain them but cannot guarantee approval.
9. Trademarks
Provider names and marks belong to their owners and appear here to identify services we are authorized to sell or for descriptive comparison. SPECTRUM and related marks are trademarks of Charter Communications, Inc., used under authorization. See our Trademarks Policy. Last updated September 15, 2026.
