Covers browser cookies and similar storage. Very little is stored here, and nothing identifying before you agree.
1. What is stored
| Name | Type | Category | Purpose | Lifetime |
|---|---|---|---|---|
sav-consent | localStorage | Essential | Remembers your cookie choice. | Until cleared |
Google Ads (_gcl_au) | Cookie | Advertising (optional) | Attributes a call or an order back to the ad that brought you here. Set only after “Accept all”. | About 90 days |
Google Ads (_gcl_au) | Cookie | Advertising (optional) | Conversion measurement. Set only after “Accept all”. | Up to 13 months |
The savings estimator stores nothing at all: the figure you enter lives in the page and is discarded on refresh.
2. Consent Mode v2
Visitors in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland start with all four Google consent signals (ad storage, ad user data, ad personalization and analytics storage) set to denied until they choose. Everywhere else, ad and analytics measurement starts on, so we can tell which ads and pages lead to calls, and ad personalization (remarketing) starts off. “Accept all” grants all four. “Essential only” sets all four to denied; Google may still receive cookieless aggregate pings that are not linked to you. Your choice applies on every page of this site, carrier pages included.
3. Changing your choice
- Click Manage cookies in the footer of our main pages, this one included, to change your answer. It then applies on every page of this site, carrier pages included.
- Clear or block cookies in your browser settings.
- Opt out of personalized ads at Google Ads Settings or optout.aboutads.info.
4. Third parties
Google is the only third party that may set cookies here, and only after consent. No other tracking scripts are loaded.
