Savings check

What is the gap between your bill and the going rate?

Type the all-in figure from your latest statement. We compare it against typical advertised starting prices for the internet technologies reported at your ZIP, and tell you plainly whether the difference is worth acting on.

  • Calculated in your browser. The figure is never sent to us and never stored.
  • It will tell you to stay put when the gap is too narrow to survive the new bill’s own fees.
  • It is an estimate, not a quote. Only the provider can confirm a price for your address.

Method

Exactly what this does, and what it cannot do.

A savings estimate is easy to make look impressive and easy to make dishonest. Here is the whole method, so you can judge the number.

What it does

  • Takes the monthly figure you enter, in your browser.
  • If you give a ZIP, reads which internet technologies are reported there in the FCC Broadband Data Collection (December 2024 filing).
  • Picks the lowest typical advertised starting price among those technologies.
  • Shows the difference, monthly and over twelve months.
  • Tells you to stay put when the difference is too narrow to be worth the disruption.

What it cannot do

  • Know which plans are actually sold at your specific street address.
  • Know which promotions are live on the day you order.
  • Include taxes, fees, equipment rental or one-off charges.
  • Know whether you qualify for a given offer or credit.
  • Bind any provider to anything. It is not a quote or an offer.

Reference prices are indicative national advertised starting prices, reviewed August 2026, and are revised as providers change them. See our Disclaimer for the full statement.

About the estimate

Fair questions.

Is this a quote?

No. It compares the figure you type against providers' typical advertised starting prices for the technologies reported at your ZIP code. It does not know what is available at your exact address, which promotions are live today, or what taxes, fees and equipment will add. The only binding number comes from the provider when an order is placed.

What number should I enter?

The all-in amount that actually leaves your account each month, from your latest statement — service, equipment rental, add-ons, taxes and fees. Entering just the plan price understates the gap by ten to twenty dollars for most households.

Do you keep what I type?

No. The calculation runs in your browser. The figure is never sent to us, never stored, and disappears when you refresh the page.

What if the gap is small?

Then we tell you not to switch, and to call your current provider and ask for a retention offer instead. When the gap is narrow, the disruption usually outweighs it.

Where do the comparison prices come from?

Providers' own advertised residential starting prices, last reviewed August 2026. They are indicative national figures, not offers, and they change often.

Two minutes

Read us your bill. We’ll tell you if it’s worth switching.

We compare the all-in figure against new-customer pricing for what actually reaches your address. If the gap is small we will say so and suggest you call your current provider instead. Free either way.
