Spectrum Internet

Three tiers. Pick the smallest one that works.

The most reliable saving available on any internet bill is not switching provider — it is not buying a tier the household never uses. Here is what each Spectrum tier is genuinely for.

Pricing reviewed September 16, 2026. Spectrum confirms final pricing and availability for your address at the time of order. Nothing here is a quote.

Wireless speeds vary with distance, walls and device count, so the plan speed is what arrives at the modem, not what every room sees.

The two line items to ask about

  • Advanced WiFi, $10/mo. Included on Gig and with bundles. Worth having in a large or awkward home; skippable in a flat. Over a year it is $120, so it deserves a decision rather than a default.
  • Activation. A one-time service activation fee applies to new accounts. The Express Connect Kit is free; professional installation costs extra.

Spectrum Internet questions

Is 100 Mbps enough?

For one or two people, comfortably — 4K streaming, video calls and browsing across several devices. A family with simultaneous 4K streams, gaming and home working is better on the 500 Mbps Internet 500 tier. Buying above what the household uses is the most common overspend on any internet bill.

Do I need Advanced WiFi?

It is $10/mo, included with Gig and with bundles. In a large or awkwardly shaped home it earns its cost through better coverage and control; in a small apartment it usually does not. Over a year it is $120, so it is worth deciding rather than accepting by default.

Are there data caps on Spectrum?

No. Every Spectrum Internet plan includes unlimited data with no monthly allowance and no overage fees, and a free modem is included on all tiers.

What is the price after the guarantee?

The standard rate for that plan applies once the one-year guarantee ends. Adding services extends the guarantee to two or three years, which delays the step-up.
